I SEE you

I SEE you, is a new project with parents of children and young people with non-visible disabilities, also referred to as ‘hidden’ or ‘invisible disabilities’. Parents will share their hopes, fears, dreams and words of advice through creative activity, centred around making a large collaborative art quilt.

Art making workshops

Art/making workshops will run from June to November 2024. I will offer a mix of face-to-face group workshops for parents, in various locations across the country. For people who can’t get to a group, I’ll offer on-line Zoom classes, and postal packs, with all the materials and instructions included to make an embroidered eye. No sewing experience is needed.

Would you like to find out more?

Perhaps you would like to create an eye for the quilt yourself, share your experiences of parenting, or you know someone who might like to get involved? To get up-to-date information about how to join in, enter your email below.

A celebratory exhibition tour in 2025 will raise awareness of non-visible disabilities and the impact they can have on the whole family. Venues include: The Level Centre Derbyshire, George Marshall Medical Museum and the Infirmary Museum Worcester, The Museum of Making Derbyshire.
